Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ShiftRest mobile application ("ShiftRest", the "App"), provided by Hangzhou Yangzhiganlin Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service description

ShiftRest is a sleep-planning tool for shift workers. It helps you record your work schedule and generates suggested sleep plans and local reminders. ShiftRest is local-first: your schedule, sleep plans, and settings are stored on your device, and we do not operate an account system or cloud sync.

2. Medical disclaimer

ShiftRest provides sleep-planning and general educational information only. It does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding sleep, fatigue, or a medical condition. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional advice because of information provided by the App. Never rely on the App for decisions affecting safety, including whether you are fit to drive or operate machinery.

3. Subscriptions and billing

ShiftRest offers an optional paid subscription, ShiftRest Pro:

Subscriptions are sold and billed through your Apple App Store account. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple App Store account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not process payments directly and cannot issue charges or refunds on Apple's behalf; refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies.

4. Free tier

ShiftRest offers a free tier that permanently includes manual schedule entry and your current-day plan, at no cost and with no time limit. Additional features may require ShiftRest Pro.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and not to misuse, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the App or its supporting services, including the roster-parsing proxy.

6. Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, text, and branding, is owned by us and our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal use. Content you create (such as your schedule) belongs to you and remains on your device.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Roster photo parsing is performed by an automated third-party AI service and may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing and confirming any imported schedule before relying on it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where mandatory local consumer-protection laws of your place of residence apply.
